JOHANNESBURG – The South African Airways has announced that it has cancelled flights to Hong Kong for the next three days.

The airline says the cancellation is due to adverse weather conditions caused by Typhoon Manghkut.

“We apologise for these cancellations, which were caused by circumstances beyond our control,” said SAA spokesperson Tlali Tlali.

“SAA has been working closely with the weather services in Hong Kong, closely monitoring the trajectory of the typhoon and the timing of the potential impact.

SAA said it would continue to monitor weather conditions and will advise its customers accordingly.
