File: The practitioners say they are finalising the last administrative issues before the restructured SAA can take flight.
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) and the South African Cabin Crew Association have issued a statement saying they won't accept SAA's demise.
They're also unhappy with comments from Finance Minister Tito Mboweni supporting the liquidation of the airline.
The unions have asked President Cyril Ramaphosa to intervene and fire Mboweni.
A creditors meeting on 14 July will decide whether the business rescue plan for the national carrier will be accepted.
