JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala says the province is having to restore the confidence of international investors.
The premier has been in Johannesburg for the past couple of days as part of his work to put KwaZulu-Natal back on its feet after the unrest.
"We engaged with the business community in the province, we engaged with civic society and all leaders from religious and traditional leaders and we developed a clear perspective," he said.
"That perspective is clear, it is based on rebuilding and ensuring that KwaZulu-Natal rises again. We then felt it was necessary to engage with diplomats to ensure that they understand what happened and how are we recovering from what happened."
Kwazulu-Natal suffered tremendously during last month's looting.
Businesses were destroyed and lives and jobs were lost.
