PRETORIA - In a shambles: That's the police’s Central Firearms Registry (CFR) offices and filing system.
There are now calls for the head of the CFR to explain to Parliament why.
This follows an oversight visit by the Portfolio Committee on Police to the CFR over the weekend.
Police Minister Bheki Cele earlier in the week revealed there's a backlog of about 120,000 firearm applications.
