Despite its hopes to avoid Stages 1 and 2 of load-shedding after securing an additional 200 MegaWatts of electricity from privately-owned Kelvin Power station, City of Johannesburg authorities say their hands are tied. JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg could see an end to load-shedding for good.
That's if Mayor Mpho Moerane has his way.
The city has unveiled its new energy mix plan.
It’s expected to result in less reliance on Eskom, which has announced extended Stage 2 load-shedding.
But is this feasible or could it just be just another empty election promise?
