Sassa meets ConCourt order to phase out CPS

JOHANNESBURG – The South African Social Security Agency has met a Constitutional Court order that it phase out Cash Paymaster Services by the end of September.

A panel of experts confirmed in court papers that the transfer from CPS to the South African Post Office has gone well.

The post office took over the payment of social grants from Monday.

The Constitutional Court last year ordered the Social Development Department to find a new grants distributor.
