JOHANNESBURG - In an effort to quell the effect of COVID-19, President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced a series of control measures intended on limiting human contact.
The president announced schools would be closed from Wednesday, 18 March until after Easter weekend, 12 April.
Some universities have also announced they will be limiting contact classes and suspending academic activities to assist with infection control.
One Wits medical student was diagnosed with the virus and has been in isolation since Wednesday last week.
