JOHANNESBURG - Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken to Twitter to thank his fans for their support, after a video of him being assaulted went viral on social media.

The Hollywood star was attacked at an Arnold Classic Africa event in Sandton on Saturday.

The 71-year-old told his fans that he wasn't harmed and thought the crowd was jostling him.

The former California governor says he only realised he was kicked later on, when he saw the video.
