JOHANNESBURG - The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) has requested President Cyril Ramaphosa explain, in writing, his alleged comments in a leaked audio recording on the use of public funds for party activity.
The State Security Agency will also be asked to make a submission.
ANC MP, Mervyn Dirks had petitioned Scopa to summon Ramaphosa.
Scopa says it is unnecessary to summon the President at this time.
