JOHANNESBURG - Section 27 says it will go back to court if the eduction department fails to reinstitute the National School Nutrition Programme.

On Friday, the Gauteng North High Court ordered that the nutrition programme be reinstated whether schools are open or not.

"Should government, however, decide to suspend the programme on the basis that it may not be safe then we will not hesitate to go to court," said Section 27's head of education, Dr Faranaaz Veriava.

The National School Nutrition Programme was suspended when schools shut down in March.
