JOHANNESBURG - Sedibeng municipal manager, Stanley Khanyile has been shot dead.
He was reportedly shot multiple times while sitting in his car at Meyersdal Square in Alberton, south of Johannesburg.
Khanyile was out on bail.
The Hawks had arrested him and two others in connection with fraud, theft, and money-laundering of over R 29-million.
Khanyile was head of Social Development in the Eastern Cape at the time.
