JOHANNESBURG - Sex workers are hoping politicians will address their rights; many parties have been largely quiet on the issue.
Health workers union, National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union says the health department must get involved.
Many activists have long called for the decriminalisation of sex work but while political parties chant election slogans, the workers are feeling left out.
Sex workers are demanding legislation to regulate the industry.
The EFF has also called for sex work to be legalised while the DA has been silent on the issue.
