Siblings finally get birth certificates to attend school

Eight siblings who could not attend school for several years because they didn’t have birth certificates have now had their births registered

JOHANNESBURG - Eight siblings who could not attend school for several years because they didn’t have birth certificates have now had their births registered.

Some of the children had been to school before but had to drop out a few years ago because they were undocumented.

WATCH: New visa policy announced

The brothers and sisters will now be able to attend school from Tuesday.

All this made possible through a joint effort by national and provincial government departments.
