PRETORIA - The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has until 9 November to file opposing papers in former health minister Zweli Mkhize’s review application.
The minister wants the SIU’s Digital Vibes report to be reviewed and set aside.
Mkhize wants the High Court in Pretoria to declare the report unlawful and unconstitutional, raising procedural and substantive grounds.
The former minister distanced himself from others fingered in the report, adding that he is estranged from his son who allegedly benefitted from the contract.
He said the report ended his career but the SIU says Mkhize's application does not suspend the report and they will continue attempts to recover the money.
