R46m restraint order against Vincent Smith confirmed

JOHANNESBURG - The restraining order issued by the NPA Investigating Directorate against former MP Vincent Smith was confirmed on Monday.

The Gauteng High Court has confirmed the restraint order for assets worth R46-million belonging to Smith and his family trust.

Earlier this year, the NPA secured an interim restraint order.

Smith, his company Euro Blitz and ex-Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi face fraud and corruption charges.

It's alleged Smith and his company accepted bribes of R800,000 from Agrizzi and Bosasa.
