SOBANTU - Police in KwaZulu Natal have confirmed that the suspect accused of murdering three family members in Sobantu township previously faced a murder charge.
Njabulo Ndlovu made a brief appearance at the Pietermaritzburg magistrate's court where he opted to abandon his bail.

He is accused of murdering and raping 65-year-old Zanele Ndlela, her 46-year-old daughter Smangele and eight-year-old granddaughter Zenande.
Angry community members protested outside the court, calling for an end to Gender-Based Violence.
