WATCH: South Africans from Wuhan arrive in Polokwane

The chartered SANDF aircraft carrying 146 South Africans from Wuhan is expected to land at the Polokwane Airport on Saturday.

JOHANNESBURG - The chartered SANDF aircraft carrying 146 South Africans from Wuhan has landed at the Polokwane Airport on Saturday.

The group will be placed in quarantine for 21 days at The Ranch Resort.

All passengers have been tested prior to the flight back from China, and none were positive for COVID-19.

The roads leading to both entrances of The Ranch are on lockdown and are being patrolled by the army and police.

The mission is reportedly costing around R25 million.

There are now a total of 24 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa.
