St Francis Bay fire under control

JOHANNESBURG - Authorities are investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed eleven houses in St Francis Bay.

The blaze broke out on Thursday.

Brenton Williams from the Kouga Municipality said the fire has been brought under control.

“11 houses in total were destroyed, two partially destroyed, were managed to save 6 houses from the blaze. Firefighters continued with mop-up operations last night,” he said.

Williams said that the houses were not under threat at this stage.

He said a forensic investigation will be launched.
