JOHANNESBURG – Eskom will implement Stage 3 rational load-shedding on Tuesday.
The power utility has announced that load-shedding will take place from 8am to 11pm.
“Despite the generating units returning to service as planned, the emergency reserves (diesel and water) are still very low,” Eskom said.
Consumers are urged to check their load-shedding schedules on the municipal or Eskom websites.
The schedule can be found at http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za or by calling Eskom's customer contact centre at 0860 037 566.

Stage 3 calls for 3000MW to be rationally load-shed nationally at a given time.
Load-shedding is conducted rationally as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.
