Justice Minister Michael Masutha has pledged to assist the students but says there won't be universal pardons as some trials have yet to be resolved.

The minister said cases would be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Activist Bonginkosi Khanyile has stated he is willing to work with the minister and look at all possible solutions.
