Enyobeni Tavern owner criminally charged

EAST LONDON - The owner of Enyobeni Tavern in East London is in hot water.

Vuyokazi Ndevu could be arrested after the Eastern Cape liquor board's decision to open criminal charges against her.

The board says Ndevu broke the liquor law act by selling alcohol to teens and allowing them into her tavern.

Ndevu has apologised and said she wasn't at the tavern at the time of the incident.

Authorities are investigating what could have led to the deaths of the 21 teens.
