VBS Bank Heist | Three more suspects expected in court

JOHANNESBURG - Three people arrested and accused of theft and money laundering in the VBS Mutual Bank heist are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

They are all former officials of the West Rand District Municipality.

More than R2bn was stolen from VBS, allegedly by its former chairperson, other board members and outside companies.

At least eight other people have been arrested in connection with the heist.
