Tourism industry calls for end to PCR testing for vaxxed tourists

JOHANNESBURG - The tourism sector wants compulsory testing to be scrapped for the fully vaccinated.

The Tourism Business Council and union Fedhasa are leading the call.

It comes after government eased some Adjusted Level 1 lockdown restrictions earlier this week.

They argue mandatory PCR testing is blocking the return of international visitors.

The bodies say removing the restriction will speed up the recovery of the industry.
