JOHANNESBURG - Tributes have been pouring in following the passing of Sibusiso Khwinana, one of the lead actors in the movie Matwetwe.
It is alleged that the actor and a friend were allegedly attacked over a cellphone.
Police have since opened a case of murder and robbery.
Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa says he’s devastated to learn of the actor's untimely death.
Mthethwa’s described Khwinana as the pride of Soshanguve.
The film’s director Kagiso Lediga and executive producer Black Coffee have expressed shock and sadness.
