JOHANNESBURG - There are 99 new coronavirus infections in South Africa.
This brings the total number of 2,272 infections in the country.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize also revealed that two more people have died bringing the number of fatalities to 27.
Meanwhile, more than 1.8 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 115,242 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
