JOHANNESBURG - Two men have been charged with the assassination of well-known Cape Town advocate Pete Mihalik.
There is speculation that the mastermind is a wealthy taxi boss.
It’s being reported his alleged killers arrived from Kwazulu-Natal just a few days ago.
Mihalik was shot and killed while dropping his children at school in Green Point on Tuesday.
His 8-year-old son was caught in the crossfire and is in hospital.
The two men apparently told police during questioning that a taxi boss from Khayelitsha gave the order to kill.
Mihalik was well-known for representing high-profle Cape Town gangsters over many years.
The motive for his murder is still unclear.
The men will face murder and attempted murder charges in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court.
