PARLIAMENT - Unions protested outside Parliament on Wednesday over the proposed plan to split up Eskom into three arms.
Saftu general-secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said he was completely unimpressed by the budget.
Eskom is deep in a financial and operational crisis. Its debt stands at a massive R419-billion and it's unable to pay this from the revenue it earns.
Business leaders say consequences will be dire if no action is taken.
