JOHANNESBURG - Eskom says it will suspend load-shedding at 12pm on Sunday.

This after it announced Stage 1 load-shedding from 7am on Sunday.

Eskom says Koeberg Unit 1 has been safely synchronised onto the grid, and that's helping to ease the scale of load-shedding.

Eskom says it's making progress in restoring emergency reserves to meet demand for the coming week.

People are urged to continue using electricity sparingly.
