JOHANNESBURG – Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba has given journalist, Redi Tlhabi, an ultimatum.
He's ordered her to apologise for a series of tweets on the visa regulations.
Gigaba says Tlhabi must apologise by 5pm today, or be sued for damages.
On Tuesday, Tlhabi tweeted about the minister's decision to change visa regulations, indicating this was based on personal circumstances.
She called Gigaba arrogant and divisive.
On Wednesday, Gigaba fired back, saying the regulations were passed long before he was at the Home Affairs department.
He also accused Tlhabi of sucking up to racists.
Gigaba warned her against remarks that his daughter was trafficked.
In a late night response, Tlhabi hit back at Gigaba's claims.
