JOHANNESBURG - TUT students aren't happy with the magistrate's decision to grant two police officers bail.

The two officers were arrested in connection with the death of a Tshwane University of Technology's (TUT) student.

They were granted bail of R1,000 each on Tuesday.

Katlego Monareng was gunned down in August during protests over SRC elections.

At first, the officers alleged they fired warning shots at the ground with their R5 rifles.

But an investigation by police watchdog, IPID, has found otherwise.
