JOHANNESBURG - The Mall of Africa has been evacuated and most of the shops have closed their doors after a group of EFF supporters stormed the shopping complex on Friday morning.
The protesters say it is in solidarity with Dischem workers who are striking over wages.
The Dischem workers are demanding a R12,500 minimum wage, salary increases and bonuses.
The retailer posted a 13,3 percent increase in turnover this year.
Dischem employees say the nationwide strike is to prove a point to the group's management.
