WATCH: Floyd Shivambu, EFF implicated in VBS 'heist'

JOHANNESBURG – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy President, Floyd Shivambu is accused of receiving R10-million of the R16-million that VBS bank reportedly gave his brother, Brian.

A report into VBS, commissioned by the Reserve Bank, was released on Wednesday, found that over 50 people illegally received close on R1.9-billion over a three-year period.

Scorpio investigative journalist, Pauli van Wyk says bank statements show the payout to the EFF deputy president.

Scorpio also reports that the EFF allegedly received R1.3-million, illegally flowing from VBS Mutual Bank into the party’s bank account.

On Wednesday night, the EFF responded to the VBS bank report, and called for "all those who are responsible and illegally benefitted from the fraud" to be "criminally prosecuted immediately".
