JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa says government is working on the problems at Eskom.

The power utility has implemented stage 4 load-shedding, as it battles with supply shortages.

Load-shedding for four hours at a time took place throughout the weekend.

The latest blackouts have been attributed to the loss of power imported from Mozambique.

Ramaphosa says they are doing everything they can to limit the grave impact load-shedding has had.

“It is a very worrying situation,” said Ramaphosa who was on an election campaign trail in Pretoria.

“We are just hoping that we can be able to restore the energy resource that we have got.

“So we are working every hour, every day.”
