JOHANNESBURG - Former President Jacob Zuma has shared his thoughts on the land expropriation without compensation debate.

In a video thread shared on Twitter, Zuma says many issues faced by black people in South Africa are largely linked to land dispossession.

"You solve the problem of the land, you solve the poverty in this country, inequality and the economic issues," Zuma said in his video.

Zuma adds that those who own "large stretches of land" should share it with those who are indigenous and who owned the land before.

In 2018 the Constitutional Review Committee recommended that section 25 of the Constitution be amended.
