WATCH | Operation Dudula wants West Rand District Police Chief removed

JOHANNESBURG - Members of Operation Dudula in Gauteng are calling for the West Rand District Police Chief Fred Kekana to be removed from his post.

The group is marching to the Krugersdorp Police Station on Saturday.

They are demanding that the station be placed under administration.

This follows violent protests in the area against illegal miners accused of crime.

Eight women were gang-raped in the area and most of the illegal miners arrested subsequently are foreign nationals.

Dudula campaigns for the removal of illegal immigrants from South Africa.

eNCA's Govan Whittles is tracking the story in the video above.
