JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa's specially recorded Youth Day address has been delivered in extraordinary times.

He says today's commemoration is happening at a time of gross anxiety and disruption, adding that young people are grappling with the legacy of a past which despite progress continues to determine the circumstances of the present.
Ramaphosa has urged the youth to be part of positive change in South Africa as the country marks 44 years since the 1976 youth uprising.
