JOHANNESBURG - The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) is rubbishing reports that it has no evidence against Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth.

Etzebeth is accused of hurling a racial slur at Langebaan residents.

Chairperson of SAHRC Advocate Bongani Majola says the complainants are well within their rights to take the World Cup-winning player to the Equality Court.

"We do have the evidence in which we decided to go to the Equality Court and also it is not true that the CEO of the commission ever said that there is insufficient evidence, in fact during that meeting that I chaired, there was never any issue of the sufficiency of the evidence," Majola said.
