CAPE TOWN - It seems the Western Cape is starting to get the upper hand in its fight against COVID-19.
Premier Alan Winde says there's been a -8 percent growth in infections in Cape Town after the Western Cape recorded the most Christmas Day cases.

"The big issue is whether we're able to have sufficient tests. Overall if I look at the numbers in the city of Cape Town, all of them are negative, a -8 percent growth," Winde said.
"Other regions we're seeing numbers increasing, it looks like we're nearing the peak."
