Westbury calm after three days of unrest

JOHANNESBURG - The situation in the Johannesburg surburb of Westbury was calm on Wednesday, after three days of unrest.

Angry residents took to the streets last Friday - after a woman was shot and killed in a crossfire.

Heather Peterson was shot dead while walking home with a 10 year old child, who’s now recovering in hospital


Police Minister Bheki Cele says he's deployed a Tactical Response Team, the 'amaberethe', in Westbury to deal with drug lords. They'll also investigate allegations of police corruption. This comes after days of protests.
