JOHANNESBURG - Former Media24 journalist, publisher and teacher, Willem Breytenbach, is now facing additional charges of sex-related crimes.

Breytenbach made his second appearance in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The state has asked for a postponement so further investigations can be done.

Breytenbach is now facing one charge of sexual assault and six of indecent assault.

And even more charges could be added.

Breytenbach allegedly committed the crimes between 1997 and 2017.

Copy-writer Deon Wiggett has openly accused Breytenbach of rape.

Breytenbach is out on R50,000 bail and will be back in the dock on the 30th of March.
