One of the buildings that have burnt down after a fire engulfed the historic town of Wupperthal in the Western Cape.
WUPPERTHAL - The Wupperthal community is still coming to terms with a devastating blaze.
The fire damaged more than 50 houses nearly two weeks ago.
Residents, church leaders, representatives of various government departments, and the Heritage Council have been meeting to discuss the way forward.
They all agree on one thing: the historic missionary town's school is the top priority.
Residents are currently being housed by family and neighbours, and a renewed sense of unity has emerged.
Donations are still streaming in for the little town that almost disappeared in flames overnight.
There is still a need for underwear, toiletries, toilet paper, food, fridges, and eating utensils.
