Zondo condemns media leaks

File: Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo Zondo granted various implicated people leave to cross-examine those who accused them of wrongdoing on Tuesday.


JOHANNESBURG - Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has slammed the media for leaking Angelo Agrizzi's testimony.

Excerpts from the former Bosasa COO's state capture inquiry testimony were published in the Sunday newspapers.

Justice Zondo says journalists were acting out of self-interest when they made those details public.

William Bird from Media Monitoring Africa says the group will be going to court to challenge the rules. 

Bird said MMA has been engaging the commission since February last year on the interpretation of the rules.
