EMPANGENI - As the date of the general election grows closer, political parties are under increasing pressure to draw voters to the polls.
The ANC has deployed former president Jacob Zuma in its electioneering campaign in the Musa Dladla region of KwaZulu-Natal.
Zuma has been spotted campaigning in the province from late last year.
Zuma's presidency has been marred with controversy over, among other issues, a relationship with the Gupta family that is the subject of scrutiny by multiple law enforcement agencies and legal inquiries.
This controversy has not prevented the party from using the former president during the election run-up.
