Zuma corruption trial delayed again

JOHANNESBURG - A holding date has been set for Former President Jacob Zuma's corruption trial.

Judge Piet Koen has proposed 15 August 2022.

Zuma wants Supreme Court Judge President Mandisa May to reconsider his application for the recusal of lead prosecutor advocate Billy Downer.

He alleges that Downer leaked vital information to the media.

Zuma faces multiple charges of fraud and corruption alongside French arms dealer Thales.

This is over the controversial multi-billion rand arms deal struck back in the 1990s.
