Zuma supporters want to 'take ANC back'

There's been no shortage of support for former president Jacob Zuma during his past court appearances. Family, military veterans, youth formations and even radical economic transformation groups, which are not recognised by the ANC. eNCA reporter Dasen Thathiah has the details. Courtesy DStv403

Former president Jacob Zuma's court appearance has once again shown the clear divide in the ANC.

Zuma was flanked by suspended ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule and NEC member Tony Yengeni as he addressed supporters.

And the pair also did not mince their words.

Despite senior members throwing their weight behind Zuma, not everyone was well-received.

ANC KZN leaders Sihle Zikalala and Mdumiseni Ntuli were rejected by some in the crowd.

Zuma loyalists say they are not convinced by the pair's "sudden support".

But the former president has cautioned his followers against exposing divisions in public.
