JOHANNESBURG - Time is running out for former president Jacob Zuma.

He has until Wednesday to submit recommendations as to the sanction he should face if he's found guilty of contempt of court.

Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng asked the former president to file an affidavit of no longer than 15 pages to the Constitutional Court.

Zuma has defied the court's order to testify before the State Capture Commission.

Commission chair Justice Raymond Zondo wants him to be imprisoned for two years for disobeying the court order.

If Zuma fails to file an affidavit with the court, the commission and other parties can respond by Friday.
