For nearly four decades, Leon Schuster has had us rolling in our seats with his own brand of slapstick humour and inimitable pranks, poking fun at South Africans and our own homegrown stereotypes. But it's also come at a cost, as our fragile democracy became more "woke" unleashing a backlash to his blackface cultural appropriations. As Schuster prepares for the launch of his latest Mr Bones movie, we sit down with him and the star of the movie, the ever-popular Alfred "Shorty" Ntombela.
