General Budget Debate, Tuesday, 02 June 2020
DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says a big chunk of the provincial budget has had to be redirected to the Covid-19 response.
He presented the over R800-million budget for the 2020/21 financial year on Tuesday.
The MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni will table the budget vote for Human Settlements for the 2020/2021 financial year.
The MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, will also tabled the 2020/2021 budget vote on Tuesday at 3pm.

On Wednesday, the MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works in KZN, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni tabled the budget vote for Human Settlements for the 2020/2021 financial year.
Nkonyeni will also table the budget vote for Public Works from 9am on Thursday, 4 June 2020.

KZN MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Sipho Hlomuka will on Friday, 5 June, table the department’s Budget Policy Speech for the 2020/2021 financial year.
Hlomuka will take the opportunity to review the state of the local government in the province.
He will also outline the prospects for the immediate future as the province continues to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and also for a time when the journey to a new normal begins.
