JOHANNESBURG - The Menell Media Exchange (MMX) in Bryanston is set to kick off on Friday afternoon.
Speakers at the event include Maey Menell Zients and Michael Schoenfeld (MMX founders), and Nick Dawes (Human Rights Watch).
The Communications minister, Ayanda Dlodlo will no longer be opening the event though.
The annual conference is a project of the Duke University in the US, is a knowledge-sharing and networking opportunity for journalists, non-profit organisations, tech developers and students.
The theme this year is "Truth and trust".
