African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Gwede Mantashe briefs media
JOHANNESBURG - The ANC NEC plans to discuss what’s in the best interests of the country with President Jacob Zuma on Sunday night.
That’s according to ANC Chairperson Gwede Mantashe.
His comments seem to contradict those of the party’s Secretary General Ace Magashule who says it’s an ordinary scheduled meeting of the top six.
[BREAKING NEWS] Gwede Mantashe tells the St. John’s congregation that the ANC Top-Six “wants stability in the country... [and] that’s why tonight we are meeting with President Jacob Zuma”. But he says “we’ll not humiliate him”, instead we want “unity from that meeting”. ANCTop6— Xoli Mngambi (@XoliMngambi) February 4, 2018
